Art Gallery — Overview
Forgetting
In the midst of chaos, I tend to forget.
When my presence nears the size of a fly,
When only my selfishness prevails,
When I am a shadow sitting on the couch,
I forget the wind blowing over trees.
When I forget there is also tomorrow,
When my heart freezes in pain and sorrow,
When I am only the prey of blind rage,
When I trade my soul for peace of gold,
I forget the birds flying over sand.
When my greedy nature has the upper hand,
When I forget the place where my feet stand,
When cowardice and fear lie to my mind,
When despair holds the higher ground,
When my head is lost in distant land,
I forget how warm my heart feels when you’re near.
I forget about the blue sky and the Sun,
I forget there is a river and a sea,
I forget there is another one in me.

The revitalized art gallery is set to redefine cultural landscape.
We Sit Still in Silence
T
This evening the air flows between us
Dusts off the stone walls in the process.
Some things can only be said by silence.
Some things can only be fathomed in the night.
Now we stand tall side by side
Comfortably warm in the open air.
We gaze at the starry night
The sparkling stars look back at us.
Our inner lives are dancing.
The trees are playing hide and seek
The grass sees a perfect opportunity
To grow a little more while nobody is watching.
Glow-worms pretend to be the stars.
The house tries to stay as still as it can
Inside people are sleeping.
The Devil is gone for a late drink tonight
He is not sorry for anything he’s done.
A cat returns from late romance.
The Milky-Way counts her sons, no interruption please.
Bravely the Earth continues her eternal pilgrimage.
Her heart is beating louder tonight
Reaching out to her Brothers and Sisters.
The young Moon watches her in wonder,
Goes round in circles, overworked.
From space, the Sun radiates with gold.
Nothing can extinguish his flame.
From space he always sends his love.

Torment
I walk down the street, my head in the clouds. Suddenly I know that high above a distant bird is watching me.
I walk faster, harder, like prey taking flight from every predator. I rise above seas and lands.
In the silence, beauty touches me— the beauty of this single moment that I live and that will never come again.
The instant quickens, I lose my footing. The Earth calls me back to the present. I land on a lake; the cold water wakes me.
Every childhood dream soon finds its sleep. I have grown, yet my Hope stays young. When the whole world turns too fast, beings fall and disappear.

Tourment
